Our partner is a dynamic and growing Shared Service Center (SSC) providing high-quality financial and operational support across multiple regions. They are looking for a Spanish-speaking GL Accountant to join their finance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of General Ledger activities, contributing to accurate financial reporting and smooth accounting operations in an international environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform manual and semi-automated journal entries
- Reconcile accounts and reports
- Post bank statements and foreign currency transactions to GL accounts
- Manage accruals, provisions, and deferred items
- Support Profit & Loss management and General Ledger closing activities
- Ensure compliance with internal operational controls
- Prepare documentation for auditors and tax authorities
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain high-quality accounting standards
Required skills:
- A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
- 1–2 years of experience in General Ledger accounting
- A good understanding of accounting principles and GL processes
- Intermediate Spanish language skills, primarily for written communication
- Good command of English
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work
- A quality-focused mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
