International Scope | In-House Legal Role

On behalf of our client, an international company operating in the technology and manufacturing sector, we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to support its international operations from Budapest.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys working across jurisdictions, partnering with business leaders, and managing complex legal matters in a dynamic, international environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to multiple entities across Europe and other international markets, working closely with local external counsel.
- Support corporate changes, reorganisations, and other legal matters affecting the international group structure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, distribution, licensing, and service contracts.
- Lead contract negotiations and advise on commercial risks, liabilities, and contractual obligations.
- Advise on relevant EU regulations, compliance requirements, and data protection matters.
- Develop and improve legal processes, contract templates, and internal guidelines.
- Act as a trusted legal business partner to international sales, finance, operations, and management teams.
- Collaborate directly with the US-based General Counsel and external legal advisors across different jurisdictions.
Required skills:
- 7–10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained in an international in-house environment.
- In-house legal experience within manufacturing, industrial technology, security, or fintech is essential.
- Strong experience in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate legal matters.
- Experience supporting international legal entities and cross-border corporate changes.
- Good understanding of EU regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Law degree and qualification to practise law in Hungary or another EU member state.
- Fluent English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Commercial mindset, strong business judgement, and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues across international time zones.
