Our partner is a leading international company specializing in pet food, with a strong presence across European markets. The company develops and produces a wide range of high-quality pet food products and continuously invests in innovation, sustainability, and efficient supply chain solutions. Due to their growing operations, they are now looking for a Market Demand Planner to join their Budapest-based team.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on statistical data, sales input, market trends, and business plans.
- Lead the local Demand Review as part of the IBP/S&OP process, working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and other stakeholders.
- Analyse historical sales, promotions, new product launches, phase-outs and other demand drivers to identify trends and forecast risks.
- Challenge and validate sales forecasts, identify demand outliers and drive discussions towards a realistic short- and mid-term forecast.
- Balance supply and demand over the 4–18 month horizon, identifying gaps, risks and opportunities and proposing corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with Category Demand & Supply Planners, Customer Service, Product Development and Sales to ensure strong customer service and product availability.
- Support new product introductions, product phase-outs, promotions and portfolio changes from a demand planning perspective.
- Manage and optimise forecasting data and processes in Kinaxis RapidResponse, ensuring accurate master data and planning inputs.
- Provide market insights, risk assessments and recommendations to support business decisions and identify opportunities for additional sales.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable business insights.
- Good understanding of supply chain planning and cross-functional business processes.
- Confident communication and influencing skills, including communication with senior stakeholders.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills;
- Fluent English.
- A proactive, self-driven and solution-oriented personality with strong planning and organisational skills.
