Main responsibilities:
- Lead a large-scale Purchasing organisation, managing approximately 6–7 Purchasing Managers (with responsibility for a total organization of around 60 Buyers and Planners).
- Drive end-to-end purchasing operations, ensuring material availability, cost efficiency and supplier performance across manufacturing sites.
- Lead managers through business transformation and organizational change, creating a high-performing and scalable organization.
- Standardize and optimize purchasing processes, implementing best practices across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, digitalization projects and process optimization within the Supply Chain organization.
- Support the implementation of new supply chain tools and systems.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Planning, SIOP, Network Planning and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in on-time delivery, inventory optimization and operational performance.
- Develop leaders through coaching, mentoring, succession planning and capability building.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the EMEA region.
Required skills:
- 15+ years of experience in Purchasing, Materials Management or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing large purchasing operations and leading managers.
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Dynamic personality with a strong character and change management experience.
- Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- SAP MM knowledge is appreciated
- Business fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 20–25% within the EMEA region.
