
Our partner is a dynamic and growing Shared Service Center (SSC) delivering high-quality financial and operational support across multiple regions. As part of their continued expansion, they are strengthening their GL function and are looking for a German or French-speaking GL Accountant. In this role, you will play a key part in managing end-to-end General Ledger processes, supporting process improvements, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage Manual & Semi automatic postings
- Reconcile reports
- Bank statement posting to GL accounts
- FX transaction and perform posting
- Decide on Accounting treatment for deferred items, perform postings
- Accrual and provision management
- Manage Profit & Loss
- General Ledger Closing
- Own and manage internal operational controls, Prepare documentation for auditor/tax authorities
Required skills:
- University degree preferably in Economics or Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification
- 1+ years of experience in accounting (primarily GL in a SSC environment)
- Good understanding of the GL processes
- Continuous Improvement and Quality mindset
- Strong customer orientation
- Fluent English and German OR French language skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time
- Excellent communication skills
