 On behalf of our client, a well-established international law firm, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a highly professional and collaborative team in Budapest. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international environment while acting as a key business partner to local and regional stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all financial operations, including liquidity planning, cash flow management, treasury activities, and banking relationships.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, the forecast, and long-term financial plans.
  • Deliver timely and accurate management reporting, financial analyses, and KPI dashboards to local management, partners, and headquarters.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including the review of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts and the preparation of the Group reporting package.
  • Manage and supervise external accounting, payroll providers, auditors, and other financial service partners.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payment operations.
  • Conduct profitability analyses at practice group, client, matter, and project level, including Work-in-Progress (WIP) management and monitoring.
  • Establish, optimize, and maintain finance processes.
  • Supervision of local Finance Team members

Required skills:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or financial management; experience in a professional services environment is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in coordinating external audits.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on mentality, proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
