We are supporting a fast-growing, innovation-driven engineering company in the search for a hands-on Hardware / Electrical Engineer.
We are looking for a practical, factory-oriented engineer who enjoys being close to the hardware, working on complex electromechanical systems, and taking ownership from design through prototyping, testing, and real-world debugging. The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong electrical engineering fundamentals with a “builder mindset” and is motivated by continuous improvement of real industrial products.
The role sits in a compact, highly technical R&D environment within a globally successful industrial technology company operating in the field of robotic pipeline inspection and repair systems.

Main responsibilities:
- Control Cabinet Design & Assembly
Own the design and physical assembly of custom control cabinets (up to 1m x 1m), ensuring high-quality internal layout, wiring standards, and professional industrial execution.
- Electrical Safety & Standards
Act as the internal expert for electrical safety, including wire sizing, grounding (EPH), and EMI/EMC considerations to ensure reliable and compliant designs.
- PCB Design & Prototyping
Design and iterate 2-layer PCBs using tools such as KiCad, EasyEDA, or Altium. Coordinate manufacturing and perform hands-on prototype assembly and rework when needed.
- Power Electronics & Drives
Design and integrate systems involving high-power electronics (e.g., 80V/10A UV LED supplies, 48V DC servo systems). Work with industrial-grade components and motor drive technologies (stepper, servo, AC).
- BOM & Procurement Management
Maintain BOMs in an ERP system, source components, and identify reliable alternatives while ensuring full technical compliance.
- Testing & Debugging
Validate and troubleshoot hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscope, thermal camera, power supplies, etc.), performing root cause analysis across systems.
- Documentation
Create and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with high engineering accuracy.
Required skills:
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant professional experience
- Solid understanding of industrial control cabinets, high-power electrical systems, and relevant industrial standards
- Strong knowledge and practical application of electrical safety standards, including wire sizing calculations, grounding (EPH), and shielding techniques
- Hands-on experience in PCB design
- Experience working with high-voltage and high-current power supply systems
- Ability to select and evaluate industrial-grade, high-reliability components
- Confident use of laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, thermal camera, multimeter, laboratory power supplies)
- Strong documentation skills, including the creation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
Advantages:
- Experience in robotics or development of special-purpose industrial machinery
- Knowledge of embedded systems (ESP32, RP2350, MicroPython/Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
- Practical experience with industrial communication protocols such as I2C, UART, RS485, and Modbus
