Main responsibilities:
- Designing and optimizing SAP-based business processes and supporting applications
- Shaping solution architectures for new and existing business needs
- Defining technical requirements (capacity, system landscape, data flows, ETL)
- Ensuring security, stability, and proactive risk management (patching, DRP, OSS)
- Supporting critical incidents and driving root cause analysis
- Collaborating with and overseeing external SAP partners
- Simplifying and integrating processes across systems
- Monitoring technology and business trends and advising stakeholders
- Maintaining and evolving IT standards and ITIL-aligned processes
- Analyzing, optimizing, and documenting processes using tools like Microsoft Visio or Signavio
- Acting as the main point of contact for SAP topics across business, IT, and external partners
- Participating in and leading SAP projects, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating parallel initiatives
- Managing SAP changes end-to-end, including transport management and monitoring Basis activities (upgrades, patches, EHPs)
- Sharing knowledge and mentoring within the internal SAP team
Required skills:
- 10+ years of solid SAP experience
- Demonstrating strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions across SAP modules (SD, MM, LE, PP, PM, PS, PI/BTP; MII & QM as a plus)
- Understanding business processes deeply, especially in logistics
- Applying solid knowledge of SAP architecture and system integration
- Working confidently with both agile and traditional project methodologies
- Contributing experience with S/4HANA (brownfield or greenfield as a plus)
- Business fluency in English
