Join a new American SSC, an innovative fintech company in the heart of Budapest, as their newest HR GENERALIST. In this role, you’ll support the daily HR operations of the Hungarian office, focusing on execution, compliance, and employee support, while collaborating with HR EMEA. We’re looking for an independent, organised, and detail-oriented professional who will manage activities end-to-end and build strong connections with internal and external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee Onboarding & Offboarding: Prepare employment contracts and ensure a seamless transition for employees entering or leaving the company.
  • Coordinate the local hiring process, from scheduling to documentation.
  • Maintain HR Records: Update employee files, contracts, and amendments with close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Support Payroll: Review salary and variable components for accuracy and liaise with external payroll providers.
  • Administer Benefits: Coordinate with external vendors for local benefit programs, cafeteria plans, and occupational health services.
  • Ensure Compliance: Monitor local labour law requirements, coordinate mandatory medical visits, and support internal audits.
  • Coordinate Training: Organise and track local training sessions and maintain all related documentation.
  • Collaborate Globally: Implement EMEA HR policies locally and provide regular data updates and risk assessments to regional leadership.


Required skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar operational HR role in a multinational environment
  • Strong hands-on experience in HR administration and employee lifecycle management
  • Good understanding of payroll elements and variable compensation
  • Experience working with external HR stakeholders and service providers
  • Ability to work independently in a structured and reliable manner
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Hungarian labour law
  • Fluent in English
