We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations & Team Lead to drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and team development within our road transport function. In this role, you will lead a dedicated transport team in a fast-paced FMCG environment, ensure reliable service execution, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the Transport team, ensuring clear responsibilities, balanced workloads, and high engagement
- Manage daily road transport operations (FTL/LTL) for domestic, export, and intercompany flows
- Plan and coordinate transport activities based on customer orders, production output, and volume fluctuations typical of FMCG
- Ensure efficient vehicle loading, route optimization, and on-time execution in close cooperation with warehouses and factories
- Maintain daily communication with transport carriers and logistics partners to secure capacity and service levels
- Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, delays, cost performance, and carrier performance, providing regular reports and insights
- Support cost optimization initiatives and contribute to transport partner negotiations
- Ensure compliance with road transport regulations, internal standards, and customer requirements
Required skills:
- University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or similar
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Transport
- Experience in export/import transport flow
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical mindset, and negotiation skills
- High-level Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems
- Fluent English
- Hands-on attitude, and strong leadership presence
