A pioneering strategy consulting company is looking for a dynamic, process-oriented Senior Accountant. You will support our Finance and Accounting Team in Budapest and act as a competent contact person for matters related to our local legal entity’s accounting, project accounting, and invoicing & taxation. 

Main responsibilities:

·        Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the management and accounting of fixed assets.
·        Client Invoicing: Handle client invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
·        Financial Closing: Conduct monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and complete.
·        Communication with Auditors and Tax Authorities: Serve as the main point of contact for auditors and tax authorities, providing necessary information and documentation.
·        Vendor Invoice Management: Manage vendor invoices, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
·        Statistical Reporting: Prepare and submit statistical reports as required by regulatory bodies.
·        Project Accounting: Track projects, monitor work-in-progress, maintain accounts receivable, perform timesheet validation, and support billability reporting.
·        VAT and Regulatory Compliance: Manage VAT reporting and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
·        Intercompany Reconciliation and AP Master Data: Support intercompany accounting processes and maintain accurate vendor master data.

Required skills:

·        Degree in economics or a related field with a valid Hungarian accounting qualification
·        3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting
·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office
·        Native Hungarian speaker with excellent English skills
