Our client is a reputable manufacturing company, recognized as a leader in urban engineering and mobility solutions. They are looking for a Spanish-speaking GL Accountant to join their finance team and assist with the transition of GL processes. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of GL accounting experience in an SSC environment and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward process improvement. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for this position.
Main responsibilities:
- Play an active role in the transition of Accounting processes from European entities to Hungary and actively shape a new SCE in Budapest
- Manage Manual & Semi automatic postings
- Calculate inventory adjustments, reconcile reports, calculate provisions
- Balance Sheet: Banking
- Bank statement posting to GL accounts
- FX transaction and perform posting
- Accrual and provision management
- Manage Profit & Loss
- General Ledger Closing
- Own and manage internal operational controls, Prepare documentation for auditor/tax authorities
- Manage Asset Accounting-related activities: asset master data maintenance, setting up of asset classes
- Identify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)
- Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
Required skills:
- University degree, preferably in Economics or Finance
- 1+ years of experience in accounting (primarily GL in a SSC environment)
- Good understanding of the GL processes
- Continuous Improvement and Quality mindset
- Strong customer orientation
- Fluent English and Spanish language skills (written and spoken)
- Very good knowledge of SAP FI
- Ability/willingness to travel (2 to 6 weeks' periods for knowledge transfer- when circumstances allow to do so)
