We are looking for a skilled and analytical Production Controller - German Speaking with solid experience in production controlling and SAP. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and collaborating across departments to drive performance and efficiency — we’d love to hear from you. This role requires only 1 day per month in the Budapest office and 2–3 days per month on-site at the factory — the rest of the time you can work remotely.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and expand production controlling processes (e.g. production orders, material and resource usage, KPI systems)
- Create various reports, forecasts, and plan/target/actual comparisons
- Conduct variance analyses and cost accounting
- Actively support the continuous improvement of existing controlling processes
- Advise and support cost center managers in cost optimization and productivity improvements (e.g. variance root cause analysis, BAB, cost calculations)
- Correct inventory balances during stocktaking and month-end closing
- Handle project-related controlling tasks and prepare business cases (e.g. profitability analysis).
- Participate in the preparation and financial settlement of tender applications
- Process intercompany settlements
Required skills:
- University degree in finance/accounting/business studies
- 10+ years of controlling experience
- SAP (R/3, FI/CO, MM, PP) and data management expertise
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Financial accounting knowledge
- Skilled in reporting, BI tools, pivot tables, and MS Office
- Clear communicator, able to explain complex topics simply
- Independent, precise, and solution-oriented
- Fluent in English and German (written & spoken)
