
Our client is an international humanitarian organization currently looking for a new colleague to join their team in the position of Team Leader and Security Architect.
The Information Security & Infrastructure Architect is responsible for analyzing and enhancing information systems, network security, and technical standards to ensure compliance and security across all NSs. This role involves developing and maintaining security standards, shaping the architectural strategy for foundational technologies, and leading projects to improve infrastructure and security systems.
The Information Security & Infrastructure Architect is responsible for analyzing and enhancing information systems, network security, and technical standards to ensure compliance and security across all NSs. This role involves developing and maintaining security standards, shaping the architectural strategy for foundational technologies, and leading projects to improve infrastructure and security systems.
Main responsibilities:
- Regularly analyze and assess the information security maturity level of NSs’ systems and networks.
- Develop and implement standards and training materials for infrastructure and information systems security.
- Shape the architectural strategy and roadmap for technologies such as LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, M365, Azure, and more.
- Lead the design and implementation of on-premises, hybrid, or cloud-native IT infrastructures.
- Provide technical expertise and governance for infrastructure and security services, including network security, Zero Trust, Microsoft solutions, and Azure.
- Manage the implementation of field projects related to security and system stability.
- Lead negotiations with external service providers and technology partners.
- Support the application of relevant project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform vendor evaluations and provide recommendations for improving service design, performance, and costs.
- Manage budgets related to system maintenance and product implementation.
- Lead and mentor NSs’ staff and external consultants throughout the delivery of the Blueprint programme.
Required skills:
- Demonstrable skills and experience in the architecture and implementation of robust, highly available, and secure information systems, tools, processes.
- Deep knowledge of networking concepts and their application must be able to effectively advise and support at many levels, from best practice implementation of small, isolated network topologies to the set-up and cloud management of many networks centrally.
- Experience in the development, implementation, and operative management of Cybersecurity functions (CSIRT/SOC/SecOps/IDR/DR) and services.
- Experience and demonstrable skills in the implementation, configuration, and operative management of cloud infrastructure, M365, Entra ID, device management (intune helpful), Defender, etc.
- Affinity for teamwork, collaborative attitude, open-minded and adaptable.
- Well organized, able to work under pressure and manage emergencies.
- Ability to work and manage/coach staff in remote setting.
- Ability to work and communicate efficiently in a multicultural, multilingual, and cross-functional environment.
