We are looking for a Team Leader - General Ledger and Reporting to lead our client's team in managing financial reporting and the month-end close process. You will ensure compliance, manage a team, and work with external auditors. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience and a solid background in accounting. Main responsibilities:
- Management of a team of 10 accountants
- Month-end closing of legal entities
- Review and approve ad hoc, month-end, late and recurring journal entries
- Manage and review key finance processes and controls
- Reconciliation - and general OPEX-related accounting
- Answer and resolve OPEX-related queries during month-end close
- Review and approve the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Reporting: preliminary sales report submission, loading entities on time, managing later journal process
- Audit support
- Ensure SOX policies and procedures are adhered to
- Process revaluations, drive process improvements, design and set up accounting workflow of new projects
Required skills:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–8 years of relevant experience, primarily in an international or matrix environment.
- At least 2 years of people management experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge with a deep understanding of end-to-end accounting and reporting processes.
- In-depth knowledge of financial month-end close processes and US GAAP reporting requirements.
- Experience managing SOX controls and external audits.
- Strong Excel skills
- Advanced knowledge of SAP.
- Experience in end-to-end accounting, ideally with exposure to both SSC and single-entity operations (E2E).
