Our Client is the largest robotized, fast and cost-effective fulfillment center near to Budapest. Due to their dynamic growth, we are looking for an ambitious and experienced senior candidate to the following position:
Main responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the transport department
- Efficiently managing a team of drivers, vehicles, admin staff as well as subcontractors
- Selection, contracting with 3rd party carriers and courier companies
- Manage third-party logistics relationships, ensuring service levels are met
- Monitor and report on transportation costs and KPI’s
- Ensure compliance with Hungarian transport regulations eg. EKAER.
- Conduct and refinement of the induction process for new drivers including performing driver assessments
- Oversee fleet management
- Investigate driver anomalies like missing empties, missing cash, unauthorized stops, unauthorized door openings, customer complaints, excessive idles and initiate disciplinary action where necessary
- Setting and managing budgets and promoting cost-efficiency
Required skills:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the field of B2B domestic distribution of palletized goods, preferably in FMCG or temperature-controlled food logistics
- Good communication and presentational skills in English and Hungarian
- Comfortable dealing with disciplinary issues
- Highly tolerant of change who is able to work within an evolving organization
- At least Bachelor’s Degree, MBA strongly preferred
- High level of numeracy in planning and organization
- Very strong MS Excel skills
- Team player, flexible, good problem solver, independent
