Our partner is one of the leading multinational food and general merchandise retailers with several hypermarkets and small supermarkets across the country.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and functional partners to understand priorities, and create analytical solutions highlighting the application of data science to improve decision-making.
- Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms, and write structured, modular, and computationally efficient production-ready code using continuous improvement principles.
- Package analytical results in a clear, insight-led, and visually understandable manner, and work with the line manager to ensure and identify broader business opportunities.
- Stay updated with the latest in data science and retail analytics, and actively participate in knowledge sharing among colleagues.
Required skills:
- 6+ years of experience in data science.
- Proficiency in SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Python, Tableau, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and GitHub.
- Expertise in applied statistics, regression, decision trees, forecasting, optimization algorithms, clustering, and NLP.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1).
