We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Invoice Specialist to join our partner’s Shared Service Center (SSC). In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing transport and logistics invoices, ensuring accurate account allocation, and supporting cost recovery through debit notes. You will contribute to efficient invoice management and effective cost control.
Main responsibilities:
- Review and verify transport and logistics invoices.
- Check the accuracy of invoiced amounts and ensure that charges comply with the agreed terms and supporting documents.
- Prepare reimbursement invoices for service providers and issue debit notes to suppliers for costs such as demurrage charges and other recoverable logistics expenses.
- Identify discrepancies and reject incorrect or incomplete invoices, ensuring that any necessary corrections are made.
- Assign the appropriate accounts to incoming and outgoing invoices in accordance with internal guidelines and accounting requirements.
- Contribute to the further development and optimization of the invoice account assignment tool.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable workplace requirements relating to quality, occupational health and safety, fire protection, environmental protection, and energy management.
Required skills:
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting
- Good written and spoken English and German skills.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and SAP.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
- A structured, accurate, and proactive approach to work.
- A qualification/experience in logistics, freight forwarding is a plus
