Main responsibilities:

  •  Lead a large-scale Purchasing organisation, managing approximately 6–7 Purchasing Managers (with responsibility for a total organization of around 60 Buyers and Planners).
  •  Drive end-to-end purchasing operations, ensuring material availability, cost efficiency and supplier performance across manufacturing sites. 
  •  Lead managers through business transformation and organizational change, creating a high-performing and scalable organization. 
  •  Standardize and optimize purchasing processes, implementing best practices across the business. 
  •  Drive continuous improvement initiatives, digitalization projects and process optimization within the Supply Chain organization. 
  •  Support the implementation of new supply chain tools and systems.
  •  Collaborate closely with Supply Planning, SIOP, Network Planning and other cross-functional stakeholders. 
  •  Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in on-time delivery, inventory optimization and operational performance. 
  •  Develop leaders through coaching, mentoring, succession planning and capability building. 
  •  Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the EMEA region. 

Required skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in Purchasing, Materials Management or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment. 
  •  Proven experience managing large purchasing operations and leading managers
  •  Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is an advantage).
  •  Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  •  Dynamic personality with a strong character and change management experience. 
  •  Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  •  SAP MM knowledge is appreciated
  •  Business fluency in English. 
  •  Willingness to travel up to 20–25% within the EMEA region.
