As a Payment Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company’s end-to-end payment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution within the Budapest Shared Service Center (SSC). Your fluent language skills will be essential for handling all vendor communications across the German/Italian market, contributing to smooth operations and a high standard of service within our international finance team.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end processing of vendor payments, employee expenses, and all outgoing funds.
- Reconcile daily and monthly bank statements for all cash accounts.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulations.
- Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
- Support month-end closing and collaborate with AP and GL teams for accurate postings.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the payment function.
Required skills:
- Fluent German OR Italian (written and spoken) required for daily business communication.
- Strong English skills needed for internal communication.
- At least 2 years’ experience in AP or payment processing in an SSC or multinational setting.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Hands-on experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
