Our client is an international company group specializing in the construction and operation of solar power plants.
Due to their dynamic growth, we are looking for an ambitious professional for the following position: 

Main responsibilities:

  • The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing all quality assurance and quality control processes at the project site (PV, Wind, HV Substation, Overhead line Projects). 
  • The role involves ensuring compliance with technical standards, project specifications, and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections, and preparing detailed reports and checklists for project stakeholders. The Senior QA/QC Engineer will lead coordination efforts with EPC contractors to address and resolve any quality-related issues, supervise testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems function as intended, and serve as the primary liaison for QA/QC discussions between the project stakeholders and report back to the superiors. 
  • Responsible for overseeing the overall quality assurance and quality control processes on site. 
  • Ensuring compliance with technical standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. 
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections, preparing reports abd checklists for project stakeholders. 
  • Lead coordination with EPC contractors to resolve any quality issues. 
  • Supervise testing and commissioning activities, ensuring proper functionality of systems. 
  • Ensure compliance of project documentation and responsible to handover full set of projects closing documentation to operational phase. 
  • Act as the primary contact for QA/QC discussions between the project stakeholders. 
  • Checking the project documentation and construction works and performing regular on-site checks to ensure the quality of works. 
  • Responsible for managing the live punch list of the project with coordination from internal/external project stakeholders. 
  • Conduct market research and prepare a detailed analysis to choose a technology and/or subcontractor for required services for the operational power plants and prepare any comparison table to support a procurement decision about Make internally or Buy from the market. 
  • Follow-up the ongoing construction works and report to superiors in case any misalignment exist or issue is found. Auditing the assigned contracts` relevant parts related to the solar power plants PV EPC and high voltage EPC and ensure the compliance of the contractual obligations 
  • Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly reports related to the projects within the portfolio of the company, which might be in different phases either in pre-construction, construction, or operational phases. 
  • Perform on-site visits to the power plants for quality assurance purposes, on-site measurements, supervision of construction works, supervision of preventative or corrective maintenance activities, ensuring the confirmation of reports from the contractors. 
  • Time to time monitor the operational assets` status during operational phase, identify any failures, track the root cause and respond/act for earliest resolution in a proactive manner for HV substation, HV Overhead line, LV/MV underground lines and PV power plant. 
  • Reporting directly to superior in case of any failures identified. 
  • Checking the works in line with the relevant O&M, EPC agreement, implementation designs and reporting directly to project managers in case of any noncompliance. 
  • Communication with neighbors and landowners and local authorities in preconstruction, construction and/or operational phase actively and reporting directly to project managers in case of any issue. 
  • Ensuring and checking the works as per good quality and good industry standards and in line with the common international and local engineering standards and HS requirements. 
  • Photographing and reporting on a daily (if required), weekly and monthly basis to project management about the status of the works as per company’s standardized format and preparation of checklists and punch lists in case necessary, considering international and local standards for the works. 
  • Flying a drone to collect data from the site for further analysis of performance of the modules. 
  • Participating in meetings and supporting technically all other departments in all project lifecycle from preconstruction till end of operation phases such as identifying the proper lands, plots, stakeholders etc. and taking role in design phase and design drawings. 

Required skills:

  • Electrical or mechanical engineer degree
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience gained in a similar position within an international environment
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • B category driving licence
  • Proactive mindset and flexibility to travel (site work)
