Main responsibilities:
- The O&M Technician is responsible for field-level execution at photovoltaic (PV) power plants, including visual inspections, measurements, data collection, and reporting.
- The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
- Provide on-site support as the operational interface for the O&M Engineer/Supervisor, ensuring accurate and timely feedback from field activities.
- Support communication with contractors, landowners, and local stakeholders when required.
- Conduct independent inspections and audits of the plant and subcontractor’s work.
- Perform on-site inspections to identify visible issues, irregularities, or failures in plant components (modules, inverters, cabling, substations, etc.).
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance is activities on Site.
- Support troubleshooting by providing technical guidance or escalating complex issues to engineering teams. Validate spare parts usage and inventory by counting, verifying, and comparing against the original parts list, Conducting drone flights and other technical site surveys.
- Prepare and maintain tools, safety equipment, and documentation needed for inspections and site visits.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with given instructions for HS regulations, internal company standards, and local legislation.
- Participate in or witness safety drills and toolbox talks.
- Report unsafe conditions or practices and require corrective action.
- Review subcontractor’s inspection reports, work orders, and incident reports.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operation, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare owner-side reports summarizing contractor performance, plant health, and risk factors.
- Take site photographs, complete checklists, and support preparation of daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Provide accurate field observations and measurements for analysis.
- Document recurring issues for contractual and technical evaluation.
- Helping integrate efficient supervisory processes.
- Support in data collection from Site for warranty and insurance handling.
- Maintain a valid driving license and comply with company driving safety policies during site visits.
Required skills:
- Electrical or mechanical engineer degree
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience gained in a similar position
- Flexibility to travel around the country (site work)
- Fluency in English both verbal and writter
- Proactive, result oriented mindset
- Problem solving skills, able to handle multiple project simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
