
An international company is looking for an experienced Payroll Team Lead (German) to oversee payroll operations across multiple regions. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Participate in ongoing internal process improvements to enhance payroll operations and accuracy.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple regions,
- Ensure compliance with global payroll policies and relevant local labor and tax laws,
- Identify and lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance payroll accuracy, compliance, and productivity across regions
- Support the development of the payroll team to ensure operational excellence and foster talent growth.
- Manage payroll projects across multiple departments within established timeframes and budgets.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all payroll, employee, and proprietary information, ensuring secure handling of sensitive data.
Required skills:
- 7-10 years of relevant payroll experience within a complex, global organization
- 2-3 years of experience in managing a small payroll team
- Fluency in English and German (both oral and written)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with complex payroll requirements.
- Expertise in process redesign and efficiency improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex payroll information clearly to all organizational levels.
- Experience managing third-party payroll service providers.
- Proficiency in systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors ext.
- Experience in payroll system implementations
