 As GL Process Expert you will shape a Budapest SSC from scratch, empowered to dive into new structures and aspire to take them to the next level. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for the general ledger process of the countries or operational units in scope
  • Planning and monitoring the capacity and workload of the GL team
  • Ensuring KPIs and rules and regulations to be followed by the team
  • Coaching and motivating team members
  • Playing an active role in the transition of Accounting processes from European entities to Hungary and actively shape a new SCE in Budapest
  • Participating and leading projects assigned to the role (incl. Process optimization)
  • Being involved in day-to-day operations and participate in the periodical closing processes
  • Ensuring KPIs and rules and regulations to be followed by the team.
  • Participating actively during internal and external audits. 

Required skills:

  • 5 years of experience in GL OR 1 year experience in GL SME role AND 3 years of GL experience
  • College or University degree (preferably in Economics or Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification)
  • Advanced English
  • Very good understanding of the GL processes
  • Solid SAP knowledge
  • Experience with process improvement / automation projects
