Our client is a well-established global manufacturing company and a market leader in urban engineering and mobility solutions. They are currently seeking a Senior Payment Transactions Accountant with extensive experience and a passion for continuous development, who will play a key role in managing and optimizing payment transaction processes. This role offers an opportunity to drive improvements, ensure operational excellence, and contribute to process enhancements across financial transactions.
Main responsibilities:
- Be involved in the transition of accounting processes from European entities to Hungary and actively shape a new SCE in Budapest
- Prepare, validate and regularly update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Desktop Procedure
- Be involved in day-to-day operations and participate in the periodical closing processes
- Participate in projects assigned to the role (incl. Process optimization)
- Determine, evaluate and resolve issues
- Identify and work on process improvements
- Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
- Play an active role during internal and external audits
- Provide qualitative customer service
- Coach and train junior team members, conduct onboarding training
Required skills:
- College or University degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
- Very good understanding of the AP processes
- Strong English and French language skills
- Very good knowledge of SAP
- Ability/willingness to travel
