Chief Accountant

Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for continuous accounting (local GAAP and IFRS adjustments)
- Oversee and perform AR, AP, Fixed Assets and Intercompany reconciliations
- Perform bank and credit card accounting and reconciliations
- Oversee travel process and book-related expenses
- Interact with and support payroll administrator, perform monthly payroll booking
- Prepare and review VAT and other Tax filings
- Perform timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly closing procedures
- Audit coordination
- Prepare monthly as well as ad-hoc management reports
- Support forecasting and budgeting process as per corporate guidelines
- Prepare KSH and MNB reports, and the annual financial reports based on local GAAP
- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
Required skills:
- Degree in finance and accounting or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally in an international corporate environment
- Recognized accounting qualification (CPA, CFA etc.) is required
- At least intermediate-level English, spoken and written
- Strong MS Office user skills, knowledge of Oracle / Hyperion is helpful
- Ability to operate and deliver independently
- Good communication skills in Hungarian as well as English
