Strategic Purchaser
Our client is a prestigious company renowned for producing coated and bonded abrasives. Due to their dynamic growth, we are seeking an ambitious employee for the following position:
Main responsibilities:
- Safeguard profitability and improvement in flow of goods for the entire Group by developing product group strategies
- Optimizing the respective product group supplier structure and the performance of strategically important suppliers
- Ensuring material availability with high product quality, flexible delivery conditions/times and economically most favorable solutions
- Supplier management (selection, analysis, evaluation, development), definition and implementation of the product group strategy
- Analysis and development of global procurement markets with a focus on the development of efficient supply chains with optimal cost structures
- Conducting price and contract negotiations with international suppliers, both for series products and for investments, concluding framework agreements
- Claim management, particularly in the event of repeat errors or processes with relevant effects (escalation stage)
- Identifying and realizing potential savings and improvements
- Identifying procurement alternatives and qualifying new suppliers
- Product and project-oriented coordination between purchasing, quality, development and suppliers
- Implementation of purchasing projects
- Purchasing controlling & reporting
Required skills:
- Successfully completed at least 3 years of technical or business studies or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Negotiation skills and sound know-how in contract negotiation and drafting
- Very good knowledge of cost analysis and project management
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong analytical and strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and assertiveness
- Confident knowledge of SAP MM and MS Office
- Ability to manage and negotiate in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel
